Sorry for the delay on these everyone -- been very busy lately!
BigTV! (the working name of directors Andy Delaney and Monty Whitebloom) were the creative brains behind this week's featured video - Beloved's "Sweet Harmony". Featured on their 1993 album Conscience, "Sweet Harmony" was controversial when it was first released because of its use of nude models - although the clip was shot and edited carefully to prevent censorship.
Beloved was formed in 1986 by John Marsh along with his wife Helena and members Steve Waddington, Tim Havard and Guy Gousden. Originally a London-based jangly guitar band, Beloved changed their sound in 1988 to synth-pop (inspired by the growing deep house movement) scoring their first hit single - "The Sun Rising" - that year.
Today, John Marsh is a successful club DJ in England and reportedly plans to collaborate with Steve Waddington for a new Beloved album in 2007.
